Greater Vine City Opportunity ProgramGreater Vine City Opportunities Program Inc. (GVCOP) , a 501C-3 non-profit organization has recently purchased Historic English Avenue Elementary School (May 2010) which is a 50,000 square ft. edifice that sits on 3 acres of land to convert and operate into a State of the Arts, Green Technology, Global Community Center.  It is GVCOP prayer that this endeavor will merit the trust and confidence of the surrounding neighborhoods and larger Atlanta area. We will provide a dynamic multidisciplinary range of services, and space to meet the intergenerational needs of the English Avenue neighborhood and serve as an Economic engine for jobs, training, research and development, businesses and empowerment throughout Atlanta.

Greater Vine City Opportunities Program Inc. (GVCOP) Mission Statement

The mission of the Greater Vine City Opportunities Program Inc. is to plan, promote, coordinate, create, and execute programs in the greater Vine City area ( English Avenue and Vine City) aimed at improving the living conditions of its residents. Its neighborhood-driven methodology is a hands-on approach to problem solving, channeling resources, developing innovative methods and building strategic partnerships to establish social, technological, educational, economic development, and youth programs. These programs include business development, job creation, after-school programs, counseling and special family events such as celebration of major holidays and other social events.

Vision Statement:

To convert and operate the English Avenue Elementary School to a state of the arts, green technology, global community center which merits the trust and confidence of the surrounding neighborhoods and larger Atlanta area. To provide a dynamic multidisciplinary range of services, and space to meet the intergenerational needs of the English Avenue neighborhood.

As well as, serve as an economic engine for jobs, training, entrepreneurship, and empowerment.
